About Jammu Sub-Centre 

IETE Sub-Centre started functioning at Jammu on 6-09-1997 and it was formally inaugurated by the then Vice Chancellor of Jammu University Prof R R Sharma.

The Centre  provides :

• Guidance to the student members in the form of individual counselling.
• Provides platform for the electronic and telecommunication professionals in the remote areas of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Creates generation awareness regarding the role of information technology and telecommunication engineering in the modern era in the masses of J&K state by way of meetings, personal contacts and seminars in the urban and rural areas of Jammu & Kashmir.
